The Tab: $544

What it actually cost to redo my home office.

Everything I bought for this room cost $544. That includes the Echo Show.

The couch was $40 from a thrift store. The paint was $45 and the pillow was $50. The rug was $160. The Echo Show 15 was $249, which makes it the most expensive thing in the room.

WHAT I DIDN'T COUNT

The desk and chair, the plants and the bookshelves, which I already had, and the art, which I've collected over time. If I priced those, the total would be higher. I'd rather tell you that than pretend the room came together for $544 from scratch.

STILL ON THE LIST

A chandelierWood shelves, to replace the ones I haveMore for the gallery wall, added a little at a time

When I add any of these, I'll update the tab, and the running total will show it.

The cheapest thing in the room is the thing the whole room is built around.

Until next time,
